Cold Plate Rental

It is completely legal to keep a body at home after death, including transporting a body home from the place of death or Coroner’s office. However, you must have cooling in place within eight hours.

A cold plate takes the stress out of caring for your person in terms of cooling, leaving you time and energy to focus on quality time, body care and ritual.

Note: Cold plate rental available in northern Tasmania only.

Cold Plate per day
Massage table for cold plate

$165

Free of charge with cold plate (optional)

More Details

A cold plate is a flat, portable air conditioning unit with a discrete motor that plugs into a standard power point. Designed to lower body temperature to a stable coolness, you are able to safely and appropriately keep your person at home after death without the need to constantly change out dry ice or frozen containers.

I offer a massage table with the cold plate, but this is optional as you can place the plate on a bed if preferred. The massage table is a good height for dressing, grooming, washing and rituals where several people may wish to be close by, but this is entirely optional for you.

Discreet Cleaning, Clearing, Decluttering

Sometimes we have layers to our private lives, and not everyone in our family or friendship circles know all about each layer. Sometimes our private life and lifestyle is quite confidential, and we would prefer to keep it that way. And sometimes the clearing out is simply overwhelming and it the most stress-free option is to have someone do the work for you.

I am available for removal of some or all of your personal possessions, and can deliver items to specific persons or organisations as per your instructions. Discretion is assured.

The Trademark dandelion logo of GDEP in purple

Price varies depending on individual needs, size of clearing/decluttering and the location/s involved.

Email your inquiry to Annetta, confidentiality guaranteed.

More Details

While full house decluttering and cleaning is quite popular in end of life terms, specialist and small-scale discreet personal clearing is not as well known. I have specialised in this service for some time, and am happy to assist you with specific, intimate lifestyle clearing, based on clear and boundaried instrudtions given by you as a client.

Inimate elements of our lifestyle that need clearing to maintain discretion may include items such as private collections, toys and attendant stashes, accoutrement, ephemera, recorded materials, furniture and diaries.

For some of us keeping secrets at end of life or after death is not a priority. But for those clients who value confidentiality this is a useful and caring service.

Note: As Annetta lives in northern Tasmania travel and per diem (where applicable) fees apply outside of a 100km radius from her place of business in Meander.

For complete beginners, the Introduction course is a good starting point. This short course give you an overview of how we come to have such poor death literacy in the 21st century, what practices and standards are in place around the world, and why end of life work is exploding in so many countries right now. From here you can decide if you want to learn more and take up further studies in greater depth.

For those with some experience in the field, or who have decided that dignity and respect should be offered to everyone at end of life, the End of Life Consultant Training Course is ideal. Comprehensive and inclusive content, expert contributors from Australia and overseas, and all 7 non-medical end of life roles examined in depth. This course fully prepares students for end of life work in the real world, emphasising cultural safety, professional practice, and respectful language at every stage.

This course consists of 4 core Tiers and two Masterclasses of a student’s choice (prior Masterclass learning needed in a few cases). A Handbook is included for every section of the course and there are regular Zoom QandA sessions live with Annetta each month. Highly recommended for those wishing to work in their communities in the end of life and after-death arenas.

For seasoned practitioners, and those who wish to expand the service set offered to clients Masterclasses are an ideal short-course training option. Each Masterclass is a deep dive into a particular aspect or facet of end of life work, and is designed to enhance the service and skill set a practitioner offers to their clients. Masterclasses are also useful for those who want to learn more about an end of life role not currently offered to clients.
